How long do you believe you have had Lyme/tick-borne illness?
Became very ill 11.5 years ago, but had hip replaced 14 years ago @ age 41 with arthritis dx. Had 1 doc tell me he thought I had Lyme et al for 30 years
How long did it take you to get a diagnosis?
It took over 8 years as had “negative” Lyme test in approx 2006
Did you see multiple doctors before you were diagnosed with Lyme? If so, what types?
Yes, several Rheumatologists, several internists, dermatologists (had bizarre skin or autoimmune dzs too), naturopath, chiropractor
Were you diagnosed with anything else before Lyme? If so, what?
I was dxd with Fibromyalgia, Epstein-Barr,CMV, Psoriatic Arthritis , Osteoarthritis
Anything else you would like to share about trying to find a diagnosis:
The Lyme test done & negative in 2005 did not meet CDC criteria, and had test showing past Babesia infxn. This was done by a now – closed Fibromyalgia &Fatigue Center (private – not mainstream). Mainstream docs I see still do not “believe” in Chronic Lyme

Mostly herbals, abx, along with cold laser, acupuncture, nutrition

Low grade Fever,. Fatigue, Malaise, horrible muscle pain
What is the biggest way that Lyme has affected your life?
I lost a promising career, lost end of childbearing years, lost a long term boyfriend, lost my interest in many sports and barely hanging on to my home. I’ve lost that zest, joy to go out and enjoy the world!!!
What is one thing you wish people knew about Lyme Disease?
That it is debilitating
